Sheldon is an AMGA/IFMGA Certified Mountain Guide and was the twelfth-ish woman in the United States to earn that accolade. She has worked as a ski patroller, forecaster, and ski guide. As an avalanche instructor, she has taught US Special Forces Teams, fourth-grade classrooms, Spanish-speaking silver miners, professional skiers, and queer ice climbing enthusiasts. Her accomplishments in ski mountaineering and promoting gender equity in the guiding world have been featured in Backcountry, Outside, and Powder magazines. She is also learning to skateboard. As of this writing, she can turn on very small ramps -sometimes.

Lani began her backcountry guiding and avalanche career in Idaho with Sawtooth Mountain Guides, portering loads to the Williams Yurt, and tail guiding. She now works as a lead guide for Irwin Guides’ Cat Skiing Operation and on the snow safety team, in addition to working as an AIARE Avalanche Instructor. She is working through the AMGA Ski Guide track and holds her Pro 2.

Eryka began patrolling in 2005 at Big Sky Ski Resort and continued in 2012 at Eldora in the Colorado Front Range. Continuing her love for snow, Eryka studied climate change and anthropology in graduate school and is currently studying Sustainable and Resilient Communities at Western in Gunnison, Colorado. Eryka began guiding in 2007 in diverse environments, including the Central American tropics, Rocky Mountain rivers, the Cascades, and the ice sheets of Greenland. Eryka is an AMGA Apprentice Alpine Guide, AIARE Course Leader, Registered Yoga Teacher, Leave No Trace Trainer, Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician, CPR Certified, and is pursuing her AMGA Ski Guide certification. Eryka has a Professional Level 2 Avalanche certification from the American Avalanche Institute and was a certified blaster during her time ski patrolling in Montana.

Amy grew up in rural Pinedale, Wyoming, where her wild-west passion for outdoor adventure began in the Wind River Mountains. She now enjoys living full-time in the Sawtooth Valley of Idaho. As a backpacking and apprentice ski guide for Sawtooth Mountain Guides, Amy is passionate about sharing the dramatic beauty of the Sawtooths and surrounding mountain ranges with people from all walks of life. During the winter, she professionally skis full-time from remote backcountry objectives to freeride in front of the camera and is pursuing AMGA ski guide certifications. She loves the throttle on her snowmobile and is an inaugural Polaris Empowersports Women’s Riding Council member. Amy is an AIARE motorized and non-motorized instructor. She is also the media coordinator for the Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center.
