Hi, I am Tara Allman (she/her). I have worked in many facets of the outdoor industry from my roots in collegiate recreation to commercial guiding, military recreation and outdoor education. I am on the Crested Butte Avalanche Center (CBAC) Board of Directors. I have a background teaching snow-based courses, overseeing the outdoor program at Western Colorado University, and specializing in mitigating risk risk through researching and implementing outdoor industry best practices. I have worked for numerous non-profits, including instructing for: the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD), Team River Runner, and served on the Executive Board for the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE). I enjoy sharing time with others in the backcountry, and I am passionate about avalanche safety and education. I love watching others' skillsets grow and creating lifelong backcountry stewards!
