I grew up in the mountains outside of SLC, UT and fell in love with snow and being outside! My personal and professional life are a wonderful tetrus game fitting together adventure time on rivers, rock faces, snowy mountains, and everything in between. I have been working as an instructor and program supervisor for NOLS since 2017, do professional observations for Central Oregon Avalanche Center, work as a ski instructor at Mt Bachelor, and will be teaching AIARE courses for Oregon Ski Guides in Bend, OR. I love creating educational spaces where students can apply the knowledge they already have in new contexts, engage in the wonderful discomfort of stepping out of their comfort zone/learn new ways of thinking, and then bring these both together to build confidence and joy in the uncertain world of avalanche and backcountry travel.
