Winter 2022/23 was my first season teaching AIARE courses where I mainly taught with Mountain Savvy in Mt. Hood, Oregon. I have been an outdoor educator & guide since I was 14 years old, beginning with teaching stand up paddle boarding in Madison, Wisconsin where I instructed and guided for nine years across multiple states and several thousand students. I spent the winter of 2021/22 as a snow intern at Silverton Mountain in Silverton, Colorado where I gained experience as a tail guide, ski patroller and avalanche mitigator. I am currently pursuing becoming an AMGA Splitboard guide and an AIARE course leader over time. I enjoy teaching and having the opportunity to empower students from diverse backgrounds to gain the knowledge and skills to lead their own trips into the backcountry with the confidence to safely identify avalanche terrain and further their knowledge through experience.
