Tim Brown has been involved with AIARE since its inception and joined the AIARE Instructor Training Team in 2008. Tim brings a broad perspective to the team as a veteran AIARE 1 and 2 Course Leader, fully-certified AMGA/IFMGA Mountain Guide, former CAIC Avalanche Forecaster, and experienced backcountry and mechanized ski guide. He has taught AIARE courses to skiers, snowboarders, alpinists, snowmobilers, and ski patrollers in a wide variety of terrain in seven states and helped numerous course providers establish successful avalanche education programs. Tim leads AIARE 1 & 2 Instructor Training and Refresher Courses, where he strives to facilitate meaningful and collaborative discussions among his colleagues.
