Working as the first AIARE Program Director, from the early 2000's until 2017, remains a career highlight. I learned so much from the opportunity to work with the original AIARE executive team; to see so many talented and passionate instructors support AIARE's mission; to personally interact with thousands of students on hundreds of courses; and to engage the leaders within AIARE's incredible network of course providers. Now, my role sitting on the AIARE Technical Committee allows me to share my guiding, forecasting, and avalanche education experience.
