An enthusiastic AIARE instructor looking to join open-minded, supportive, diverse, and uplifting backcountry travel programs. Homebase is South Lake Tahoe, CA. I spent the past three years with Backcountry Babes leading backcountry tours and AIARE Courses, and resonate strongly with our all-female clientele, encouraging independence and communication as valuable skills to share in a travel group. My other work includes PSIA-certified ski instructing, backpack guiding, and youth wilderness program logistics. My background in outdoor education has translated well to communicating the complicated world of Avalanche Awareness into comprehensive, digestible information that empowers new backcountry travelers to make informed decisions.
