My name is Ben Bauter. I grew up skiing and snowboarding in the northern Wasatch. I started split boarding in 2006. I love to teaching, specifically teaching avalanche education for Weber State University Outdoor Program and for the Ogden Avalanche. I have been working with the University since 2006 teaching backcountry ski and snowboard clinics, yurt trips, and winter camping skills. I am a professional observer for the Utah Avalanche Center. When I am not skiing or snowboarding, I work as a Medical Laboratory Scientist specilizing in Microbial Immunology. In the summer I love fly fishing, riding my bike and rafting.
