Course Leader, Staff

Lyra's career has ranged from guiding rock climbs in Yosemite, to leading expeditions to the summits of Denali and Mount Elbrus, and ice climbing on the ice towers of Mt. Erebus, Antarctica to facilitate geology research.

Lyra is a certified Rock and Alpine Guide, and an Assistant Ski Guide through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), as well as an Instructor Trainer for AIARE.

She also trains mountain athletes as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through her company MOVEmentum. And you might catch her byline as a gear reviewer and writer, mostly with OutdoorGearLab.

While the mountains provide the backdrop for her career--and some of her favorite activities--her true passion is sharing the tools that help people access wild places with respect for themselves, their teams, and the environment. She aims to help others calibrate their experiences to their own personal risk tolerance, fitness, and sense of adventure.
