I am a full-time high school science teacher and have over 15 years of experience in education (from classroom teaching to outdoor ed to ski coaching and instructing avalanche courses). I work for various guiding companies and other organizations and typically lead or instruct at least several courses each season. I love teaching for two reasons: 1) I learn something almost anytime I teach, 2) I enjoy empowering students to apply their knowledge to better understand the world around them and to make more evidence-based decisions.
