Erica Engle

Erica Engle is an experienced Course Leader and a member of AIARE's Instructor Trainer and Pro Instructor teams. She has worked in the snow and avalanche field since 2003, as a ranger, ski patroller, educator, guide, and backcountry forecaster. She is an IFMGA licensed Mountain Guide who has guided in a wide variety of mountain ranges and snow climates. Erica has a special interest in training and education that support worker well being and quality of skill and experience. She instructs guide training with the American Mountain Guides Association's National Instructor Team. From 2020 to 2022, she served as the American Avalanche Association's Pro Training Coordinator. Prior to professional mountain work, Erica completed a BS in Environmental Science at Western Washington University and worked in forest and fisheries field science. She lives in north central Washington on the east side of the Cascade crest.
