Course Leader Training

Complete applications that meet all prerequisites will be enrolled on a course first. While we work to place everyone on one of their top three choices, placement on a specific course is not guaranteed. The application period closes on Aug 23, 2022. Applications made after that time will be considered on a space available basis.

Your letter of recommendation as well as your profile at should show you have significant experience teaching the entire Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain Program. If your profile is not accurate, please work directly with the course provider to ensure you are listed as an instructor on the roster.
A letter of recommendation from a current AIARE Course Leader you have worked with in the last year (using this form) should be sent to Liz Riggs-Meder prior to August 23rd for your application to be considered.
